Faculty RSVP
- Faculty who wish to participate in the Fall 2024 commencement exercises, must RSVP, regardless of whether or not rental regalia is needed. Your RSVP confirmation will help us plan seating accordingly.
- The Graduate School will designate the faculty hooders for all candidates. Graduates will proceed to the stage where they will be hooded by the preselected faculty hooders.
- Dissertation Advisors who wish to participate and who wish to escort a doctoral candidate must also RSVP.
- Faculty who wish to participate on their own may RSVP as General Faculty.
The deadline to RSVP for Fall 2024 is Thursday, October 17, 2024.
*IMPORTANT: Faculty who miss the RSVP deadline WILL NOT be allowed to participate in the current commencement ceremonies, however, faculty may attend as a guest. Faculty must secure a guest ticket from a student's allotment of guest tickets to attend the ceremony. Please note that all guests require an entry ticket.
Faculty Rental Regalia
- Rental regalia is free for all faculty. Please click the appropriate ceremony below to order via the Herff Jones website. Cap and gown will be delivered directly to the address you provide during checkout. Please allow 3-4 weeks for delivery. Rental regalia includes the appropriate robe, hood, and mortarboard. Faculty holding a doctoral degree who wish to rent a tam may do so at their own cost. Please contact Herff Jones at hjcollegefl@aol.com for tam rental information.
The deadline to order rental regalia for Fall 2024 is Thursday, October 17, 2024.
- If you miss the deadline, a limited amount of University of Miami master's and doctoral regalia will be available for faculty who missed the deadline to order rental regalia. Please note that extra regalia (UM colors only) will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at the Watsco Center on the day of your designated Commencement ceremony.
