Apply to Graduate in CaneLink

  • Spring/Summer 2022 eligible candidates must apply for graduation in CaneLink. The application deadline was March 4, 2022.

Order Your Cap and Gown

  • The cap and gown ordering deadline was Thursday, April 7, 2022. Students are only responsible for the shipping fee. Click here for a step by step guide on how to order cap and gown.
  • If you missed the deadline, below are your options:
    • You can place a late order through the Herff Jones website until April 18, 2022. Graduates placing a late order will be responsible for the expedited shipping charges.
    • A very limited amount of cap and gown will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis at the Watsco Center on the day of your designated commencement ceremony.

Virtual Graduation Slide

  • Students who successfully applied to graduate in Spring/Summer 2022 via CaneLink by the application deadline can submit their information for the virtual graduation slide via MarchingOrder using their CaneID.
  • The deadline to submit your name display preference, pronunciation, and photo was Thursday, April 7, 2022.
  • The slide includes your name, photo, degree, school/college, and honors, if applicable.
  • The slide is not shown at the commencement ceremony. The graduation slides will be posted on our website and available to download and share to celebrate your graduation. Only the names of those students physically present at the ceremony will be called.

Tickets

  • Tickets were claimed as a part of the application for graduation on CaneLink; however, all graduates will have the opportunity to reselect the amount of guest tickets they would like for their ceremony.
  • Graduates can reserve a maximum of six guest tickets.
  • Tickets are not required for graduates, but are required for all guests. Children aged two and under do not require their own ticket.
  • The Watsco Center box office will open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 and Thursday, May 12, 2022; and from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, May 13, 2022.

  • How to Reserve Tickets

    Graduates reserve their tickets by clicking the button below their designated ceremony (see below). Only graduates can select tickets for their designated ceremony.

    IMPORTANT: Graduates should review the ticket ordering guide before reserving tickets.

    • Commencement tickets cannot be accessed via the general Ticketmaster website. Graduates must use their designated ceremony's unique Ticketmaster link.
    • Graduates will need their UM ID, aka C#, to log into Ticketmaster.
    • If a graduate cannot access Ticketmaster, they will need to follow the steps below:
      • 1) Ensure that their C# is correct.
      • 2) Make sure that they are selecting their designated ceremony.
      • 3) If a graduate still does not have access, they will need to email commencement@miami.edu with the following information: first and last name, email (miami.edu), C#, and their designated ceremony date and time.

  • Additional Ticket Information

    • Once ticket reservations have been completed, graduates should receive an email confirmation from Ticketmaster with their mobile tickets. Graduates are encouraged to search their inbox/spam folder for "Ticketmaster;" otherwise, contact Ticketmaster Fan Support via email to have them re-sent. (Review troubleshooting section of ticking ordering guide for additional information.)
    • Graduates are responsible for forwarding tickets to each of their guests and ensuring that all mobile tickets are downloaded or printed prior to the ceremony. For information on how to transfer tickets, view ordering instructions.
    • Guest tickets will be general admission, and seating is first-come, first-served.
    • Review venue policies before arrival.
