Fall 2026 Checklist

Fall 2026 eligible candidates must apply for graduation in CaneLink. The application opens on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, the deadline to apply is Friday, October 9, 2026.
Students are eligible to participate in commencement once they have completed all degree requirements; and should contact their Cane Navigator or academic advisor with any questions regarding eligibility or whether they should apply to graduate.

The cap and gown ordering deadline is Friday, October 9, 2026. Students are only responsible for the shipping & handling fee. Click here for a step-by-step guide on how to order cap and gown.
Students will be able to access the regalia ordering site within 24 to 48 hours of completing their CaneLink graduation application. Please plan accordingly.
- IMPORTANT: Students who miss the deadline to order cap and gown will have to wait until the day of the commencement ceremony and pay a $30 expedited processing fee.
  - Students will have to pay a-la-carte prices for any cap and gown item lost or damaged (gown, cap, tam, tassel, and hood) on the day of commencement.
SCHOOL OF LAW CANDIDATES must order their regalia on the ordering website by the deadline.
- Cap and gown distribution will take place at the School of Law.
- Please note that your cap, gown, tassel, hood, and any stoles purchased will be shipped together to the School of Law.
- You will receive communication from the School of Law with the date(s), times, and location for regalia distripution.

The number of tickets allotted to each student will be made available in the graduation application on CaneLink. The opening dates for the graduation application may be found on the Office of the Registrar.
Ticket information can be found on the commencement ticket webpage.
Tickets, free of charge, are required for all guests attending the graduate and undergraduate commencement ceremonies and will be available for students upon registration for commencement.

Note:Tickets are NOT required for the Law School and Miller School of Medicine commencement ceremonies held in the spring semester.
